These tools are very affordable and good quality for the price you pay. You have to do a bit of work to tune up the tools but that’s expected.

Great gouges. They need sharpening when they arrive. My only complaint is with the v gouge.

Cons

Twelve pfeil chisels for $30 more than this set. These grinds are very shoddy. I carve basswood and the chiseled just did not work.

Many of the tools require substantial edge/bevel shaping to be usable. The vendor says if your not willing to sharpen. The set is supposedly hand-sharpened.

Very well made tools awesome quality steel

Flex cut win kel steel are not even close

The blades are only set by glue meaning they will eventually become lose with repeated use

I contacted schaaf and sent some pictures of the defects and they promptly replaced them free of charge

They need sharpening when they arrive as is common with new gouges

Quality is amazing tools are sharp packaging is lovely and the brand is solid

I just opened my package and am pleased

There was a card in the box from schaaf tools that said to send them an email and tell them what you thought

I was just disappointed that the box was all beat up

My 34amateur34 sharpening was far superior to their 34professional34 version

I’ve owned a lot of wood chisels and these are by far superior

This set from schaaf includes 12 gouges and a tool roll for less than the cost of 3 34name brand34 gouges

Another company charges 5065 dollars per chisel for similar quality albeit they are ready to use out of the box
