Pros
Fits v700 snuggly. Fits my epson v850 pro like a glove. Perfect fit on epson perfection v850. When fully assembled and plugged in, it still fits perfectly over my scanner and the cords in the back without being too snug and not too loos.
Digital deck covers has the best customer service. These covers are worth the price in my opinion and i highly recommend them.
Tough, canvas-like material; not plasticky. The quality is sturdy and well made. The cover was shipped promptly, and it was appropriately packaged.

Too tight to fit an epson v850. Still no import. Was the scanner obsolete before i bought it?

The scanner is currently in a sunny location so i will have a chance to see how well the cover deals with sunlight in the coming summer

The only problem you will have is trying to pull the cover down on the back of the scanner when the power and usb cables are connected

As for the reported smell from the cover you must have a seriously sensitive nose because right after receivng the cover i pulled it over the scanner and went to bed right next to it without any problem
