Pros & Cons
Pros
Great adventure - great sequel. It's a considerably tighter book than 'old yeller' the book may be a tad tougher in spirit.
Savage sam" is about travis and little arliss in the 1870s. The book is written by travis gipson, and the movie is based on it. The story is graphic, though not gratuitously so.
Cons
The story is well-written, but depicts indians taking 3 children hostage, stripping the boys, hanging them upside down and torturing them. Not a book for children or even teens.
