Despite me saying i doubted a replacement would help the sent me one anyway and the failure mode did not repeat after a few tries

Its a simple inexpensive device which makes interoperation with newer macs with the rest of the world and despite being inexpensive the company was responsive to negative feedback and corrected the problem

Previous one starthe pcb slipped out of the aluminum sleeve the first time i tried to disconnect the typea side

Since that time i’ve picked up one or two card readers but they are slow by today’s standards and their technology is outdated

There aren’t usbc accessories in the market that double up with a standard usb connector and vice versa
