update 3182016i was able to fix the hiss noise you have to go on your dslr cameras sound settings then manually set the microphone input level to onenotch above the lowest possible setting
Then hit the 20db switch on the mic which will result in cleaner audio without the hiss
Not as good as rode mic pro the microphone arrived in perfect shape
