Pros & Cons
Pros
First volume is a graphic novel adaption of harari’s tome sapiens. Shows literally in a visual format how at least six various human species lived on planet earth. Offers cogent ideas on how sapiens rose to the top.
Love the graphics and conversation. It is how i taught history. Just get it.
Yuval harari is a great thinker, synthesist, and writer. His ability to make deep and interesting connections in a graphic novel format is so refreshing.
Cons
The story is supposed to be narrated by a character referred to as professor saraswati. There are sparks of science in this text but its overall validity is doubtful. I'm sure there are a thousand better ways some recent sapien could come up with.
The text is too small to be legible on a laptop or ipad. This is a design flaw by whoever formatted the book for kindle. As other reviewers have said, the kindle version is super-clunky. Don't buy it on kindle.
