    Im sure it would be okay in a pinch but i always have a lot of firewood and kids who are willing to go rock hunting so its really a nonissue

    Though the carabiner seems cheap i would imagine the spring mechanism in it would go before it bends out of shape or anything and could easily be fixed by any cheapo s biner or carabiner
