Would be better if it protruded to the front slightly at the top and bottom to offer a little more screen protection

I bought this as i smashed the screen on my samsung galaxy s8 after a drop of about 12 inches on to carpet with a thin case on

Hopefully i will never have to test its shock protection effectiveness but the vulnerable parts of the phone seem well covered

Although the screen itself is not protected there is a lip around the edge which guards against damage if placed face down
