The only thing i wish i had was the capability to shut off hand held item

I like the walkie talkie being able to work in yard and call for help so far 65 feet from base havent went further clear no hum or static unless batteries low it will beep as states in instructions on low battery i will buy another to have 2 walkie talkies for outside use you can monitor by locking base if you want baby monitor while your outside great product a must have great customer service as well this is a real purchase not a paid advertising
