You can set it so that it doesnt power down two minutes after you turn it on

Be warned that the coiled cord is short 28 very stiff and will not uncoil unless you stretch it with such force that the mounting bracket tends to come off the wall or the control box is nearly ripped out of the mounting bracket

If the cord is extended the two ends of the cord may be severely bent where they enter the scale and the control box probably leading to early failure

This is a good little scale it seems pretty accurate for what its intended for the only thing i dont like is that the display times out very quickly and then you have to take the item being weighed off the scale and start over other wise it will zero out with the item still on the scale
