Pros

Good ankle support without being too stiff. Grip and provide sure footing.

Merrell's are more roomy in the toe allowing toes to move more freely. Solomon's fit my foot more snug. Front toes box digs a little into my toes.

I have 3 siberian *'s and they demanded a walk. Geared up and out these in to trudge through fairly deep puddles and rocky alley terrain. Purposely walked through little puddle to test it out.

Cons

The left boot makes my toes hurt so bad i have to take them off. There is not enough padding for the heel. Ruined many socks already.

Leaking is a deal breaker for me. The material inside of these gtx hiking boots is not soft or well-padded. Hiked on wet rocks - can't stay at all.

Had to dispose of them with no refund from company. Amazon refuses to refund me even though the product is covered by the manufacturers warranty.

Quality

So far i am very happy with this boot

Switched to the gortex on my last pair which has really been great for some of the wet grass and water hazards

My first pair of salomons and i have been surprised with the quality

But the durability on these is nowhere near as good as the older version ones with the metal eyelets all the way down

Price

It fits well its waterproof and well worth the price

They come broken in out of the box

I didn’t have much time to break them in before my trip but they were fine straight out of the box

Competitiveness

2 miles rucking and running in them with a 40lb backpack and these shoes never failed me
