Pros & Cons
Pros
Ruby is the daughter of a us senator who believes in very traditional family values. One of 10 children of senator burgess and his uncaring wife. Ruby is under the thumb of her senator ultra religious father.
Her cult type religion control their lives and everything they did.
Slow burn is exciting and emotional and roxie does crazy so good! I love everything roxie noir writes, and recommend her books to anyone who loves a strong, confident heroine and a supportive, super * hero.
The plot is real interesting that it keeps you turning thepages right to the end. Its well written and doesn't bog down or get boring. One of my favorite trope is the bodyguard romance.
Cons
The time setting of this book could have been the civil war era to the present but was not identified either. I'm sorry but this was just poor writing in my humble opinion and can't believe anyone could get what it was about. Certainly not enjoyable.
