The ergonomic handle is cushioned and solid. No signs of rusting or peeling from the handle. Love the weight of the comb-it just feels very comfortable and easy to hold.

The teeth on the brush are much too small. More made for fluffier dogs like shepherds or corgis. Doesn't really work on a labrador type coat.

It helps some with the shedding but it has to be done routinely
We have wolf dogs and the furminator would not get the under coat

I may buy the shorthair version next as we also have a few dogs in the pack who could stand to be brushed more frequently
