The magnet is strong, keeps the phone firmly attached to the car, and is able to rotate freely as i need. The magnet holds the phone even when going over railroad tracks so big bumps aren't a problem at all.
The ball base has a pretty sticky back. Press the exposed adhesive to one side of the washer-like magnet.
Cons
The magnet is not very strong. While driving it would just slowly roll downwards. No movement still slide off, and while driving just make it worse.

By the way in case you do something stupid like me and try to mount the adhesive without cleaning the dash surface first you can buy a roll of the 3m adhesive at walmart home depot etc

Slides right off metal ball he probably didnt attach the iron circular piece to his so the magnet has something to stick to

Only con is that there is a small black piece of plastic in the center of the second magnet it keeps falling out
