Pros & Cons
Pros
Used it on old wrought iron fence. Excellent product for sealing off corroded iron & preventing future corrosion. Good to use in outdoor and damp applications.
Very easy to apply and smooths out easily. Used brush and roller to apply. The primer soaks in very well and dries hard.
Very hard to find paint anymore in ca. Still appreciate being able to purchase paint in california. Love it.
Cons
It is extemely thin and runny. Now it is so thin it's laughable. The can has a sever dent n it.

Easy to apply has great adhesion and stops rust from advancing deeper into the metal
Good quality prime applies easy and has good coverage
It bonded the oily dirt right to frame it was very hard to chisel off that part
I see a lot of reviews for paint products this is for the red “rusty metal” primer

Shipping priiority and received ahead of schedule which we appreciate
Packaging/appearance
The 16 quart cans were all lose in a box

Im using this to redo an old metal porch railing that was covered with flaky black paint

It sands down to silver probably aluminum or steel but has a rough texture in places that looks like wrought iron under paint

I did sand the railing first but not as much as i could have

The primer went on smooth covered well with one coat and dried almost free of brush strokes

After 24 hours i noticed that where the metal was pockmarked because the primer is thick and creamy it smoothed out somewhat
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The downside was that where the metal was bumpy with bumps above the surface the primer just emphasized it and made it look worse
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The primer was still somewhat soft and came right off
