I like that you can set the kettle down on any surface after pouring some water because the bottom isnt hot

I dont know if its the switch or something else but when i turn it on to boil if often either doesnt start heating or it starts then the light goes off and it stops well before the water has boiled

Good product and use it daily without any problemsthis is my second one and got about three years out of the first one before the base started acting up and the electrical contacts not making a good contact

Looked at ceramic but most look poorly made and internally cracked
