The human and animal stories weave together seamlessly. We learn about a family who moves out to the countryside, and takes in unwanted animals. Appreciated the photos, too, of the colorful and sometimes eccentric humans and animals.

Loved this quirky book. I'm surprised that, weeks after completing the book, they still periodically dance through my mind.

Fantastic story, superb writing. Author does a great job at keeping the story lighthearted. Characters are well-rounded and very interesting.

Christopher mcdougall is a great writer and has a no frills style. He weaves in personal stories and fascinating nuggets about assorted animals.
