They draw you in to the characters right away. It is about learning learning to trust and go forward. I wish the end hadn't happen so fast with so much happening in the last 50 pages.

James patterson needs to go back to what he does alex cross books. Try something like * copperfield by barbara kingsolver to really get a feel for the backwoods kids.
