Pros

My grandkids love this book and i love reading it to them. My kids like to find and point out the ants crawling through the pages of the book. Look for the 3 ants on each page.

The illustrations are colorful and fun, and the story and verse are excellent. Great colors and pictures, fun rhymes. Each page has a different illustration. The rhyming sayings and the rhymes are wonderful!

My kids ask for both. My grandchildren love it. My neighbor's kids never tire of it. Read this to your child.

There's a rumble in the jungle, there's a whisper in the trees. The rhyme continues to the end of the book with a good-night. The illustrations & rhymes are adorable and both our girls have learned animal sounds from it.

Cons

Lions are not kings of the jungle since they live on the savanna. Most of the animals in the story are stereotypical male. The poetry in the book is extremely sloppy.
