Pros & Cons
Pros
The stainless steel handle is simple, masculine, and attractive. It feels good in the hand and opens smoothly. They open very smoothly, almost as if they have the assisted opening spring like kershaw knives.
Thumb stud works just fine. I am a collector of edc gear especially pocket knives and small flashlights.
For $30 it competes with knives with flipping action in the hundreds of dollars. After these mods, i confidently say that the action rivals that of much more expensive knives. I'm blown away by the under 30 dollar price.
This knife is exceptional for the price. This is my second ruike knife, and as the first one this one performs excellent. This thing is dope af.
It's not super heavy but i wouldn't mind a half oz or so taken out. Decent size. Excellent sized knife.
Cons
The detent is out of control hard.

Highlights
Quality
I've had my ruike-801 for awhile now and really enjoy it and the quality has been excellent.
I am quite impressed with the build quality and materials used.
That said i can't argue with the quality or looks of this.
I'm really impressed with the quality for $30.
Price
This simply is not in that category and again, that's because this knife costs 1/10 of what these other uber premium knives cost.
Especially considered the price factor, i would recommend this knife to anyone and look forward to more great products from ruike.

The fit and finish for the price is bananas.
Shipping
I was ecstatic and although shipping from china to the us took a long time, it was well worth the wait.
The box got a little screwed up in shipping, but once i got the knife out i realized it was a lot more substantial than i thought.
Packaging/appearance
Extremely sharp right out of the box.
Not the easiest to flip out of the box, a little stiff.
I’ve included a picture of the original bearings in the skiff packaging.
I think some, if not most, of these people are holding the knife with their fingers pressing straight down on the frame lock, w... Read More
Competitiveness
I carry this more often than my benchmade or factor knives.
I’m too used to spyderco frn type scales and was previously carrying manix2 lightweight.
If you want absolute perfection and the best materials money can buy then save up for a benchmade, zero tolerance or chris reev... Read More

Although the blade steel isn't anything extraordinary, its not terrible and should hold an edge decently.

This product is chinese made but the overall product and value is hard to ignore especially since i am not going to warranty this since the cost was so low.

Kinda(applicable to this and other ruike knives) i see a lot of people saying the thumb absolutely doesn't work.

It works totally fine if you keep your middle and ring fingers on the pocket clip and your index finger off the frame lock (see video).

And the blue accents have maybe 3% faded in that time.
