Prior to installing the upgraded 4gb memory sticks my system in the control panel indicated 8gb of installed memory and after the upgrade it listed the installed memory ram at 16

If push comes to shove dont forget to reset the cmos battery or install a new one most batteries can be bought at your local department store and do a fresh install of your os to work out the kinks and bugs

These memory dimms gave some much needed speed to an older computer i had preventing the need to buy a new machine

Should one fail again then will just use the remaining good one and one set aside from the original hp pc that is over 5 years old
