Pros & Cons

Pros

The work and time is so worth it, truly a must for any coffee lover. If you are a coffee nut, this is a great purchase! I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this over other which have some limitations.

This nitro maker is worth every cent. Saves a good $4+ vs going to a local coffee shop. That is how it should be marketed.

This is much more flexible than the growlerwerks ukeg with it's hard to clean design and proprietary larger cartridges. Its supports both n20 and n2 3rd party cartridge and doesn't require any proprietary cartilages.

Starbuck’s nitro coffee is as good as anything you can get from starbucks! Works great for serving stouts. I plan on trying it sometime with an extremely hoppy ipa and see if it holds up.

Only thing i would change is the main * - add some grip or flat spot to make easier to unscrew after. The main spout (from above where it attaches to the tank) is a little loose. The spout does drip a little after each pour.

Cons

When the nitro cartridge is inserted, coffee starts coming out of the tap regardless of the position of the handle. The pressure release valve leaks when you put 2 canisters of n2 in.

The process of brewing, cleaning and charging/infusing nitro in the coffee is just a too much. It comes out mostly bubbly instead of frothy and dissipates in a matter of a minute. Convoluted process for mediocre nitro.

Quality

You can feel the quality of the product before you even open the box

I dont always use this but when i do its simple enough and im happy with the quality of the nitro

I think the 7oz ground to 28oz water then an additional 32oz water is too much

Obviously your outcome will depend on the quality of cold brew you usemake and ability to follow instructions

Packaging/appearance

I would recommend to people who like nitro as it is great and can make 3 days worth of nitro in the keg

Just unscrew the entire top section open the tap and turn upside down and run water through the straw until it comes out clear ...  Read More

Husbands feedback he first tried straight out of the tap then made his coffee the fame as always “to have an equal comparison”...  Read More

Competitiveness

so far i’m loving the royal brew 64oz keg

Just something to keep in mind in your cost comparison vs going to starbucks

If you’re using the ultra cartridge you can not fill it up with more than 40oz or it will leak

He says it’s a comparable taste to starbucks but you get to save the money

I bought this somewhat as a test to see how cheaper more available n2o cartridges tasted compared to straight n2 cartridges that are more like what id had before at the coffee shop
