Pros

The roxio tape to dvd transfer device works right out of the box. It works as advertised, but you need to make sure the connector is straight, and firmly seated into the usb stick. The video is just as good as the original camcorder video.

Cons

It's like the usb on the roxio device just does not fit and connect well in the usb port on my laptop. Roxio customer support says it is an invalid key. All communication is via email and is very cumbersome and inefficient.

On playback either the audio is way out of sync, or it's in sync but the picture quality is unwatchable. No ability to adjust compression or audio quality, just three settings, and the highest one still shows incredibly noticeable compression.
