This product solves the problem. Takes two ppl to install. The option to buy 2. This product does the job nicely!

The mesh netting is safe (i even confirmed with my pediatrician) perfect for keeping my toddler and 8 month old safe when around the stairs. Keeps my granddaughter from falling through the rails which are too wide for toddlers.

Cons

Holes are fragile and tend to tear when apply some tension. Not 10 feet as advertised. The mesh itself is sturdy but the zip ties used to secure it break easily. The bottom pieces that stick to the deck keep popping off.
