Knives were super sharp but getting blunt already

Most chefs knives these days are way too small

Although they are supposed to be dishwasher safe i would generally avoid putting decent knives in a dishwasher

That may seem odd but stainless does not make a good knife blade so manufacturers use a steel that has more carbon in it to make it harder but that leaves them somewhat prone to rust spots

They are fine most of the time but if your dishwasher is adding loads of salt to the wash then you can expect them to mark

Far safer to just wash them by hand most of the time and avoid all that contact with salty water

I suppose that is to be expected though
