They are much too thin to offer protection in the palm of your hands when pruning roses. I only use these to prune a row of pygmy date palms.
It appears someone used either homer simpsons' or andre the giants' hand to trace the pattern for these glove fingers. The fingers are all about the same length and width. These gloves are awful.

Think about it your hands are sweating thus moist thus making the dye come off and stick to your hands

Grabbed hard onto some live and dead rose canes as a test and did not get pricked at all
