When I saw this product I really wanted to try it. After a car accident I have trouble with certain areas bothering me every so often. When I did PT it seemed that they did similar patches with ice packs to help me.First of all, the great thing is how small and portable it is!! Plus it comes with a booklet on suggestions to places the patches and where not to. (Do not put it on you chest or near your heart!) I had three areas I tried. The shoulder, the hand and the knee. The hand and knee worked like magic. But maybe my shoulder was too tense? It seemed somewhat helpful. The issues is that this product is short term pain relief. For my knee it felt great but after I removed the knee still had problems but a little muted. The same with my hand.It comes with AAAA batteries which is great but the huge problem was getting them in! The back opening for the batteries would not open! You are supposed to push in with a pen tip and push up. Well, I broke the pen tip, then I broke a chop stick and finally I had to use a very solid, metal letter opener. It is extremely difficult to open and took me a full 10 min and the help of another person. It could be just my backing that got stuck but I think it is a design error. Anyways, I am not putting the back on again and simply took several rubber bands and used them to hold the batteries in place. If it weren't for the backing I would give this product a 5 star rating.  Read Less
