Pros & Cons
Pros
First time trying to grow lions mane or any mushroom from spores. Packaged nicely with alcohol wipe, needle and some basic instructions for sterile inoculation. Grew lion's mane and oyster mushrooms with great success.
Inoculated sterilized rye grain with the liquid culture. Used 2 jars and inoculated 2x 2-gallon buckets of aspen wood chips.
Cons
If the first test on agar is nothing but fluff mycelium just throw it out to keep from wasting time and supplies on a bad strain. Very weak mycelium. Would order again but will stick to either the cordyceps to an oyster mushroom.
Time wasted trying to get a clean inoculation. Culture was contaminated. Contamination was confirmed in 3 separate processes.
