    However it would be even better if there were some way to disattach the extension from the part which is firmly attached 2 screws to the tiller

    Someone told me that there was an older model which slid laterally but that would not be as firmly attached

    One caution ensure that you have to cover already on the assembly before you heatshrink as it will not go on afterwards my oops for sure
