I didnt realize from the photo that the gnomon the metal bit that sticks upwards is almost entirely painted a green patina

However the gnomon itself has very little brass showing

The edge of the gnomon is all shiny brass but the decorative sides are mostly painted a thick green patina

I dont know if anyone cares one way or the other but the sticker on the back of the sundial says made in taiwan
