Curtis sittenfeld's romantic comedy is a breath of fresh air in the world of romance novels. The author's writing style is both wry and tenderhearted. She is a masterful storyteller with the ability to hold me rapt with her dialogue.
Great characterization, snappy dialogue, this part is quick-paced as it takes place all backstage. The sketches and jokes are plausible and it's full. One week at snl-like show.

This book is also only about 4 reeeeeeeaaaaally ong chapters prologue then the play by play of tno which is basically snl then 2 years later we get emails then sort of the summary of it

Sittenfeld covers some really heavy topics eating disorders depression anxiety body dismorphia and so many other things it shows how two people in their late 30s try to figure out how to love other people again
