Pros
I have a document camera/overhead projector in my classroom. This fits perfectly over my canon 10-key. It alleviates clutter on my desk.
This comes in really handy when i'm presenting a flipbook for notetaking where there are lots of pages and flaps to work with. It has a lot of space beneath for a phone book and rolodex. Does not take too much space and pricing is not bad.
The mesh allows for a good airflow as well. Also cuts the glare on the readout screen. The perfect height for the phone.

The room under the stand is not much to store or hide anything but would work well for a small notepad or something similar

I had to keep liftingpivoting it to push papers underneath as i wrote on them and worked down the page

There is enough room underneath to keep a tape dispenser and stapler handy but not in the way

If you are putting something in the side holder it needs to be sturdy
