Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect for simple, unadulterated crossover. It's a solidly built little unit. The crossover is the brains and the paradox is the muscle.
No frills but does the trick. Takes some time to tweak to your liking, but after you do, you will be rewarded. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and very professionally.
Cons
No changes to my setup with the exception that the the crossover is now made by dbx. This is by (cheap) design. Its best to get something used that is well made vs something new that is poorly designed / junk.
Highlights
Quality
Combined with a preamplifier the overall quality is just amazing
The sx45 works perfectly and doesn’t color the sound
It didnt change the quality of sound entering and only did what it was supposed to which is to split the signal into highs and lows
That said designing testing and the costs involved for passive crossover boards is a nightmare for the nonengineer
Competitiveness
I use this coming from a schiit modi 2 uber into the a2 and monoprice sub
00 xover as a preamp from a small taotronics bluetooth into some old klipsch 6
In the meantime though i set the subs phase to 180 and played a 100hz test tone my current crossover point
Stopped my audioengine a2 from producing lower bass notes that it couldnt normally handle anyway

However you can overcome this 2 ways1 on your subwoofer select 180° polarity control and adjust the phase knob until you heard the bass with more presence

Not seeing a lot of choices here and this may be the only unbalanced rca single center conductor crossover available in this price range

The frequency control knob range is 50hz 2500hz highlow so typical applications are home hifi woofer tweeter pa wooferhorn tweeter identical power amps will provide the best results btw 2

The low and high would be used and not the mono sub out

The mono out is the only bell and whistle that i see which would typically be connected to a sub plate amp or similar that has separate low frequency level controls

The fast set up is great however be very careful not to connect 34low out34 to the amplified tweeter
