I own cheaper plastic exp pedals and not surprisingly theyve become noisy with regular use squeaky creaky

In short i experienced the same issue as many of you have where the pedal does not seem to work through the full travel of the pedal and in some cases also does not ever go fully to zero volume

After trial and error on my own failed i went to the reference manual which you can get online from roland and learned that for the roland vr730 there are four expression curves programmed
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The other three dont make much of a noticeable change for the first third and last third of the travel and this is by design of the programmed curve

So in summary i believe the pedals to be fine and its the programmed expression curve in the keyboard that creates the perceived issue
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Its an expression pedal not a precision volume control
