Pros & Cons
Pros
The bull is a fitting name. It seems well built, unlike the pos pancake (name starts with b and rhymes with ostrich)i owned earlier that died within the return period2. Masterforce also places their name on stabila levels. This compressor looks like a... Read More
Small size and portability are good. Directly comparable to older emglo specs. This thi,g impressed the * out of me.
It has no problem powering a framing nail gun. It has a large current draw to startup that some wiring can't handle.
Even runs my impact wrench for automotive work. The only con i can think of is the grip on the handle. As some reviewers have said, the grip digs into your hand.
Cons
Blew a breaker on start up at 40 degrees outside. Won't keep up with only 1 nailer. My 10 year old hitachi does better than this rolair. It pressures up to 125 psi and recycles at 95 psi.

I have not checked the current draw but it has yet to pop a breaker and my hitachi used to do that routinely especially when the ambient temp was lees than 60 f

My unit was purchased through acme tools it arrived with a broken pressure gauge for the tank pressure no affect on operation so i still used the unit

One item i will replace is the tank drain valves for some reason rolair continues to use the cheap brass screw type valves
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Do yourself a favor and swap them out for a stainless steel ball valve assembly faster to drain the tanks and they never freeze up
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Id give it 5 stars if it came with better drain valves it annoys me when manufacturers build a fantastic product but go cheap on small items like gauges and valves id pay 50 more for the same unit if it came with better gauges and the aforementioned valves

I suspected a returned unit which worried me because the supplied air filter was not attached though the units should not be run without it
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Rolair does claim to test run all of these imported units so perhaps that explains its status though not the lack of an attached filter
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The filter is difficult to screw in you must push the two air tanks away with one hand to get it inserted
