First it needed some assembly that was not a big problem but i did not see anywhere in the product description that assembly was required

Second it obscures the rear license plate there is a note in the instructions that the license plate may need to be mounted to the back of the cargo carrier but the instructions did not state which states required this instead the instructions said to contact your state officials to see what the state requirements were

But there is no way to mount a license plate to the back of the cargo carrier i suppose you could use selftapping screws but that would cause a defect in the shell that would allow rain to enter the interior
