Pros
Myself (33 year machinist) and my 14 year old son assembled the devise. Easy to assemble, the perfect gift. Running the marbles once assembled is limited however. Lightly bore out wit drill by hand.
All pieces are perfectly precut and marked. Piece are really sturdy and impressively precise!
The pegs stick up a bit so sanding flush is essential, then waxing. Rokr also provide metal rods for axels and plastic bushings to keep gears aligned and on their axel. The one issue that does arise is the waxing part.
We buy a few if these every year to display at a trade show. We also hold a raffle and give a few of these away, and they are a big hit. Would buy again. Maybe next gen. Looks great on a shelf.
Cons
Pieces are flimsy enough to easily break, even with a careful hand. Despite lots of manual nudges, marbles fall through the cracks. The hand crank is also very fragile and one must rotate it very very slowly because it rattles the entire model.

Had to do a little carving to get some pieces to fit the pistons needed a little modifying and a slight coating of grease to move smoothly and it took me 4 days to put it together in my spare time
