Pros

All pieces are perfectly precut and marked. The wood is 1/8 plywood that is very strong. There is no glue or screws, everything is pressure fit. Wooden rivets hold everything together.

Well done. Still it’s lovely. Would buy again. Maybe next gen. Looks great on a shelf.

The kit comes with a paraffin wax stick to lubricate moving surfaces. The pegs stick up a bit so sanding flush is essential, then waxing.

Cons

The mechanical potion of this puzzle was garbage. The balls are not lifted high enough to enter the ramp. If a ball is placed on the very top ramp manually, it travels down all the other ramps.

Despite lots of manual nudges, marbles fall through the cracks. The hand crank is also very fragile and one must rotate it very very slowly because it rattles the entire model.

This is for sure not the one for beginners! Now it is just a piece of junk taking up space. This one is for suckers.
