This hasnt caused any issue since the buckle does seem sturdy regardless of whether its locked but you should expect it to stay locked over time

I would not rely on it as your only visibility for walks at night the stitches are just too small to make your dog highly visible

The one downside and the reason i deducted one star was that the collar is not colorfast

Even though he only wears the collar when going on walks and the collar is only a year old the color is already quite faded
