Never had a problem with roots even though my home is surrounded by trees. Haven't had anymore issues with the roots. We use it every 6 months and it works great!

After two failed attempt to get the septic to flow had it drained twice
Roots dried up almost disappeared as i have the drain roto rooted now every august just to check
