There is a minefield of information to digest when it comes to microphones.

Rode stereo videomic pro is a great microphone for a modest price. The microphone has a built-in dead cat to reduce wind noise. It also has an ambient depth stereo setting.

The trs cable is designed to plug the microphone into your dslr's mic/aux-in port. The mount is all plastic with a large thumb screw that secures it to the hot/cold shoe of the camera. I'm using it with the gopro media mod.



Cons

Tried trs trs cable on my pc and nothing happened. The sound with the microphone is worse! I trusted rode as a brand but having bought this mic, i now find umpteen reviews online pointing out a weird clicking noise on recordings.

    There is nothing to adjust on the mic you just plug it in to your camera adjust your audio levels on screen and go
