Pros & Cons
Pros
The mic continues to work flawlessly. Great for zoom meetings. If you're a musician using a lot of post, you might want to go beyer.
The sound quality is excellent, with a built-in pop/windscreen, and where the cable connects allows it to be routed away properly. Sounds best at maybe 6-10 away, but even further placed it's still pleasing. I can't comment on how well it filters out ... Read More
A built in pop filter adds some serious value to an already excellently valued product. All that heavy goodness is also compact and unobtrusive. Sleek, professional look.
Headphones amp sounds great with my 250 ohm headphones. The mic was recognized by windows and by all the big conferencing apps like zoom, teams, citrix,. It is switchable between two zero-latency monitoring of the mic itself or a computer output devic... Read More
Rode mic and my $80 grado headphones perform far better than any $200 headset. The mic has a good sturdy weight and doesn't feel cheap. It easily rivals the yeti in its cardioid mode, and handles speech, piano, and singing equally well.
Cons
Usb-c port in the back is lose, causing any accidental movement of the microphone to dislodge the cable. Huge lag and latency experience. Noise gate is nearly worthless, has no adjustment for threshold or ration. The two eq options do very little.

Quality
Excellent sound quality just with plug n play windows drivers
The base is heavy and sturdy holding the mike in place with a strong magnet
The microphone is great but the app is useless as it records badly with a lot of static and weird pauses and slowing down on pl... Read More
I spent at least 10 hours over a couple months off and on trying to get it to work right reliably and failed
Price
Best bang for the buck plus it doesnt look like a egg plant
Im a video editor and post supervisor and this mic is great bang for the buck
It was 99 when i bought it in 2020 and its still 99
If youre spending 100 on a microphone it seems like a bit of a waste of money to not get the best out of it by getting a 20 stand
Packaging/appearance
I only wish is that it came with a travel case
Out of the box i was impressed with the 34density34 of the rode mini
Competitiveness
Would definitely recommend these over other usb mics at this price point
I compared this with the beyerdynamic fox on a generic windows 10 gaming laptop
People debate this but 192khz does often sound a bit better to me though its not necessary

However it really needs improvement with picking up mouth and background sounds and trying to find a good pop filter that will complement this one just doesn’t seem like an easy feat
