Pros & Cons

Pros

Putting bikes on and off the rack is a cinch. Rack has 3 positions to access tailgate. Holds our bikes very well and doesn't scratch them up like my old one that clamped onto the frame.

The rack installs easily with the instructions. The basic design is really good with all the plastic parts and wierd angles it was obviously designed in 3d cad. The nuts, bolts, and washers to connect some of the poles were actually placed in a bag th...  Read More

It's just that it's my first time having bikes being suspended off the ground with a metal contraption.

The rack is nothing but quality. It is exactly what they advertised. I applaud them. They seem like a good enough deterrent to keep honest people honest.

Cons

The clamp arms feel like they don't always get to an interval that's super tight on the wheels. The rear clamp is also sometimes finicky to undo and often can feel insecure.

Quality

The rack installs easily with the instructions

I was super impressed with the sturdiness of it as well

With the hitch bolt tightened properly there is very little movement of the rack

Reading reviews about shaking poor customer service nothing seemed to be quality at any price

Price

The price was reasonable and the reviews okay

Even though the reviews were limited i did not find anything negative out there about it and jumped on it when i saw the price

Most racks in this price point have that included

Packaging/appearance

Was able to compare the kuat transfer 3 and westslope 3

After searching around and reading a ton of reviews i stumbled on the rockymounts westslope

Competitiveness

You can separately purchase a lockset to lock your rack up that comes with 2 padlocks and a 10mm cable

Thanks rockymounts for creating an affordable highquality rack

That maybe true for kuat 1up yakima thule etc but rockymounts has made a mockery of that idea
