Instructions are ikea style. Was pretty easy to install, no major snags. Would be nice to have all four set screws in place.
Fit-wise, it works great and fits my 27-year-old. Fit on factory subaru cross trek crossbars. Mtb fit on perfectly. It fit onto my yakima roof rack with no trouble.
It's by no means impenetrable, but i feel safer leaving my bike on the roof. I already had roof rails and was not interested in a hitch mount or a trunk mount. Could not be happier with the quality and functionality of this roof top bike rack.
First time i've ever received a compliment about a product. Mount is super solid, always looks the part too. Edited to fix typos.
