This may be to get the turning blank in balance to choose the optimum orientation of the grain figure or to center a partially turned object to run true when remounting it

Both the oneway and the nova make this difficult because the sharp conical point will make a deep indentation and then the point always returns to the same indentation

It is close to impossible to move the point position by 11634 or even 1834
