A clone will invariably show unknown board for the bn board type a clone will also state on the serial number sn line to upload any sketch to obtain it

However the vid and pid for clones or arduino compatible boards are identifiers that correspond to the ch340 usbtoserial chip that these clones use in lieu of the atmega16u2 that the genuine article uses for usb processing
