Pros & Cons

Pros

Only issue i can see is in the manual it states to remove and discard the exhaust plug from the exhaust fitting.

Robinair is an extremely well known and well made hvac guage. It is rated to surpass epa vacuum regulations. Amazon pack this and a 30# recovery cylinder in the same heavy box.

This 15500 is so light and running smooth and zero walk. It easily pulls a vacuum to 29 mmhg or more on my 5 gal vessel, in about 5-10 seconds. Cfm easily acheives 30 vacuum to check for leaks, pull in compressor oil and refrigerant.

Cons

Purchasing this model pump from somewhere other than amazon was my mistake. The warranty is a joke. Returning to amazon the day of arrival would not pull a good vacuum out of the box.

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It is durable and doesnt leak like many of the cheaper models you find on amazon

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

As another reviewer noted be aware that the initial setup instructions tell you to 34remove and discard the exhaust plug from the exhaust fitting34

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The exhaust fitting is the cap in the large hole centered on the top surface of the front of the pump above the oil level sight glass

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The vent cap says 34oil34 on it with some arrows that i suppose are supposed to indicate that it is an oil exhaust vent

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I took the cap off looked at it and found there was no plug to remove

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The instruction concerning a plug to be removed must be for an older model a different model or a different exhaust cap and does not apply to this pump

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Do not confuse the oil exhaust vent cap with the oil fill cap

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The fill cap is smaller and is located next to the handle directly across from the intake port
