If you are looking for a regular size alarm clock then go with the chronologic vi.

The display is un-necessarily large but it is possible to reduce the glare from it.

The screen is very bright even on low so i drape a small piece of material over it and it is fine.

After so many cheap alarm clocks that stopped working this alarm radio really does the job.
