If you plug something into it the cord is so short that the item wont even be able to sit on the floor

The only complaint is that the unit is only held in place by the prongs which means that whenever you unplug something you have to hold the unit into the wall

It should take about four hours to charge both an android phone and an apple ipad mini at the same time
