I have a 2012 mk 6 vw gti and the dealership was quoting 800 to replace the vacuum pump because it was leaking oil

After some research i discovered that these vacuum pumps leak because the gaskets fail not the pump itself so there’s no reason to replace the entire pump

Ended up only replacing the metal gasket between engine head and vacuum pump and vacuum pump cover big oring on my 2012 vw cc 2
